Who could Seth Rollins feud with upon return?
2015 was the year of Seth Rollins in WWE. Cashing in his Money in the Bank contract in the main event of WrestleMania 31 and winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship was his ultimate highlight. He would defend the title for the next eight months before going down with an injury.
During a WWE live event in Nov., Rollins suffered multiple torn ligaments after attempting a sunset flip powerbomb. The timetable for return was six to nine months and he had to forfeit the belt. Roman Reigns would defeat Dean Ambrose for it in a tournament that concluded at WWE Survivor Series.
After these events, Rollins would be seen at the Slammy Awards in Dec. to accept the Superstar of the Year award. Other than that, he hasn’t appeared on WWE programming. There were also few updates on his status, until a report came out on Wednesday. The Architect is apparently back in the ring training for his return, whenever it may happen.
The Architect is apparently back in the ring training for his return, whenever it may happen. He’s four months into his recovery, so it may be a little while before we see him back.
The nine-month timetable would project an Aug. return for Rollins. That also happens to be the month of WWE SummerSlam which is billed as the second biggest show of the year. If he can get back for that, a marquee feud and possible main event spot on the show could be possible.
Seth is going to need an opponent for a feud, though. Here are five options for that role.
