Alexa Bliss Says She Had Anxiety When She First Turned Heel Because She Didn’t Know How To Be Mean

Current RAW Women’s Champion, “Five Feet Of Fury” Alexa Bliss was the most recent guest on Chris Jericho’s “Talk Is Jericho” podcast. Bliss stated that back in her NXT days when she was first told that she was turning heel, she did not know how to deal with it.

Here is a highlight from that particular portion of the podcast:

“It’s a lot of fun. When I first was told that I was turning heel I had such mad anxiety because the character that I portrayed before that was very bubbly, very princess, completely not relatable whatsoever and when I was told I was turning heel I had mad anxiety over it because I was like ‘oh my gosh, I don’t know how to be mean. I don’t know how to literally just make someone just, like, hate me and I would have anxiety over it. We would do heat drills and stuff in the Performance Center and there was times where I just stopped and started crying. I was like ‘oh my gosh, I don’t know what I’m doing.'”

A heat drill as Alexa Bliss mentioned, is where you grab the mic and say the meanest thing possible and keep going.

“Once I got used to it, it just became so much more fun and now I’m having so much more fun than I ever did, it’s so fun, I love it.”
