Brock Lesnar Defeat Randy Orton at WWE Live Event

WWE posted a handful of videos from Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton’s rematch from Saturday’s live event.

On Saturday night, WWE placed Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton in a rematch from SummerSlam. This saw a TKO finish, with The Viper losing and getting a gash in his head that kept him out of the ring for weeks. Lesnar hadn’t wrestled since or appeared on WWE programming.

Earlier in September, WWE set the Lesnar vs. Orton bout for the September 24 live event in Rosemont, IL. The match’s status had been in doubt with the latter’s health. However, he got cleared last week.

So, the match would take place, and result in Lesnar defeating Orton via pinfall. It became a No Disqualification match too, which saw weapons involved as The Apex Predator looked to defeat his summer foe. An F-5 would end his evening, though.

WWE posted a handful of highlights from the match, which can be seen below.

Here’s Lesnar’s entrance at the Allstate Arena.

Orton would arrive to the match by sneak attacking Lesnar, hitting an RKO.

WWE then posted the finish of the match. This saw Orton look for the RKO again, but Lesnar popped him up for an F-5 and successful pinfall. The Beast Incarnate then took the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion to Suplex City, and called it a night.

We’ll see if WWE mentions this match on Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown. Orton is currently in a feud with Bray Wyatt, so we’ll see if this effects it.

As for Brock Lesnar, it’s unknown when he’ll be back next. He has no scheduled WWE TV matches for the remainder of the year, so it’s possible we see him at Royal Rumble. The former Next Big Thing usually gets booked for the biggest pay-per-views of the year, making the January show a potential destination.
