Chris Jericho could be leaving the WWE following Hell in a Cell

The way the current WWE Universal Championship storyline is being booked, we should maybe expect Kevin Owens to defend his title against Seth Rollins as well as his best friend, Chris Jericho.

2016 seems to have been one of Jericho’s better stints in the WWE over the last couple of years, while they’re usually stale and underwhelming, this year truly has proven to be the gift of Jericho.

However, as they say, all good things must come to an end, and RingSideNews.com are reporting that Jericho’s current WWE run is set to end following the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view.

A few months ago, it was heavily reported that Jericho would be leaving following the SummerSlam event.

Plans obviously changed and he stuck around for longer, and it’s proven to be a great decision as he not only continues to do well for himself, but those around him have improved also.

His band Fozzy are recording their new album next month, which is said to be taking up most of his time. While he could always return following a short stint out to record the album, he’s also going on tour with them so he may be away for a while.

Now we have to wait and see whether he is on his way out, and if so, how the WWE write him out.

Considering it’s Jericho, there’s no way he’s going out quietly based on the year he has had.

There’s also the possibility that his best friend turns on him to get an even bigger reaction from the audience, but more will be clear either at Hell in a Cell, or when Ashton Kutcher comes to Monday Night Raw next week to confront the pair.
