Colin Cowherd Claims the Mayweather-McGregor Fight Is Scheduled for September

If Colin Cowherd is correct, he just broke the biggest piece of news regarding a potential fight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor.

Between boxing’s 352 governing bodies, the UFC and the two money hungry fighters, the idea of a fight seems impossible. But money speaks, and there’s no doubt every side has something to gain from this silly hypothetical boxing match (I would assume it’s a boxing match).

According to Cowherd on The Herd, the fight will be revealed to the public in the coming weeks, but he claims to know exactly when it will happen (via

“News I believe is gonna break here in about 2 weeks…I have already booked two rooms, September 17th and 18th in Las Vegas. My intel is Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather is going to happen. It changed late last week. I got a call then somebody else sent me something [Sunday] and Saturday. We’ve booked rooms in Vegas. [It’s happening] this September.”

While Cowherd is certainly a “stir-the-pot” type of personality on FS1, he’s not a nobody and happens to have a strong relationship with Dana White. I would take his word over most talking heads in the sports media industry.

So, if you believe Cowherd, now is the time to book a Vegas hotel room before prices skyrocket.
