Conor McGregor ‘would be upset’ by Mayweather gay jibe says James Kavanagh

Coach John Kavanagh's brother has slammed Floyd Mayweather for calling Conor McGregor "a f****t."

Snapchat star James Kavanagh says the UFC champ would be "upset" at that remark.

The boxing legend and the MMA giant have been going head-to-head at various different locations around the world to promote their August 26 super-fight, with insults traded everywhere they've gone.

Their stop in London's Wembley Arena last Friday was no different, but some believe Mayweather overstepped the mark by telling the Dubliner: "You punk. You f****t. You ho.”

Now, the brother of McGregor's trainer, has revealed: "I know Conor, and I know a homophobic remark like that would have upset him."

He told The Sun: “I know trash talk sells tickets but there is no excuse to call anyone a f****t.

“Conor’s own trainer, John, has a brother who is gay, me.

“And Conor campaigned for the Yes side in the marriage referendum.”
