Conor McGregor’s coach sends warning to Floyd Mayweather

CONOR MCGREGOR's striking coach Owen Roddy has warned Floyd Mayweather against entering the Octagon.

Over the last few months, Mayweather, 41, has hinted that he’s interested in trying his hand at mixed martial arts, much to the shock of the combat sports world.

The Michigan native did so by posting a series of videos of himself inside an Octagon to his Instagram page.

Inevitably, his antics led to talk of a rematch with McGregor, who he faced and defeated in a boxing match last August.

The general consensus in the MMA world is that the legendary boxer would suffer an emphatic defeat if he were to ever set foot inside the cage, a notion Roddy agrees with wholeheartedly.
"I think it's a bad move for Floyd to get into the cage," the SBG Charlestown coach told Express Sport. "I just think he doesn't have enough time to learn what it takes to fight in the Octagon.

"But he could make a lot of money. And money talks."
