Floyd Mayweather Would Be Beaten By A 14-Year-Old MMA Fighter

The former UFC champion Vitor Belfort believes that Floyd Mayweather would be at a massive disadvantage in MMA, even against small children.

Floyd Mayweather has had his name in the news pretty consistently since his August retirement fight against Conor McGregor. The worlds of MMA and boxing collided over the course of the bout’s buildup and fallout but in the time since he has managed to start the frankly insane rumour that he is preparing himself for a transition to the sport of mixed martial arts.

Floyd is 41 years old. To think he’d be able to compete against anyone other than a complete and utter novice is pretty bonkers, but still, it does appear as though he is building towards something. The nature of what that is, however, has not yet been fully understood.

Vitor Belfort, the former UFC champ, spoke with MMAFighting about Mayweather’s potential inside the octagon and believe it or not, he wasn’t overly hopeful.

“I think he doesn’t have a chance even against the young kids, 15, 14-year-olds. I don’t think he has a chance, no. He has a lot to learn on the ground, kicks. I think it’s an illusion that happens, unless it’s different rules or a fight in his world.

“With his arms, on his weight, he’s a phenom. Now, involving legs and other things, no chance.”
