Jessica Aguilar finally has a fight lined up.
The veteran fighter has been booked to fight Jodie Esquibel in a women’s strawweight contest at UFC Utica (UFC Fight Night 131). The ever is set to take palce on June 1 at the Adirondack Bank Center in Utica, N.Y.
MMA Fighting confirmed the news, which was initially reported by AG Fight.
Aguilar (19-6), a former World Series of Fighting strawweight champ, was originally scheduled to fight Livinha Souza in February, but the bout was cancelled due to an injury sustained by Souza.
The UFC tried to re-book the fight for a later date, but it never materialized. The Mexican competitor last fought in May, 2017 where she suffered a decision loss to Cortney Casey.
Meanwhile, Esquibel last competed in October, where she dropped a decision loss to top contender Karolina Kowalkiewicz. Esquibel is 6-3 as a professional fighter and trains out of JacksonWink in Albuquerque, N.M.
