Nate Diaz to be investigated by anti-doping agency

Nate Diaz may have lost at UFC 202 but in the grand scheme of things, the Stockton-born scrapper still came out of the event a winner.

Diaz brought home an incredible $2million in basic fight pay, which would be one of the highest marks in UFC history, while almost certainly making a few more millions on top of that in additional revenue.

However, that could all come crashing down for the 31-year-old as he could reportedly go under investigation for some actions following the fight.

According to a report from Fox Sports, Diaz has drawn the attention of USADA – the United States Anti-Doping Agency – after he was smoking a vape with a cannabinoid in it during the post-fight press conference.

“It’s CBD,” Diaz said when asked what it was he was smoking. “It helps with the healing process and inflammation, stuff like that. So you want to get these for before and after the fights, training. It’ll make your life a better place.”
