Former Pride and Strikeforce champion Dan Henderson has announced that his wife is expecting the couple’s fifth child in June.
Retired UFC middleweight Dan Henderson took to social media with a Halloween photo to announce that his wife is expecting the couple’s fifth child.
The black and white image shows his wife Rachel holding her belly while dressed as a mummy.
Henderson is pointing with a shocked look on his face and the snap is captioned, “This Mummy is becoming a mommy again in June 2018. Something’s still alive in me.” Henderson appears to be dressed as a zombie.
Henderson, 47, retired in 2016 after losing a close bout with UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping at UFC 204. He had a long martial arts career including holding the Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Championship as well as the welterweight and middleweight championship titles for Pride. He was the first fighter to hold two titles in two different weight classes in a major MMA promotion while fighting for Pride.
When Henderson retired from professional fighting, he was the oldest fighter on the UFC roster.
Henderson is known for his strong wrestling background, having wrestled in high school, and was a champion in college wrestling for many years.
Henderson now owns and runs an MMA gym in Southern California and coaches many professional and amateur fighters.
The couple already has three daughters and a son (pictured above). Henderson joins the likes of TJ Dillashaw, Cody Garbrandt and Julianna Pena who are also expecting children soon.
According to the Instagram, the couple is due in June 2018; the gender has not been revealed.
