Following the double-bill of UFC Fight Night 99 and UFC Fight Night 100 yesterday the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.
UFC Fight Night 99:
No ‘Fight Of The Night’ was declared on the Belfast card, so four ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonuses were dished out instead.
Jack Marshman earned one after he helped put Wales on the MMA map with a second round TKO victory against Magnus Cedenblad thanks to some heavy-handed striking on the feet.
Kevin Lee also scooped up a performance bonus after he landed repeated takdowns against Magomed Mustafaev and then submitted him with a second round rear-naked choke.
Striker Justin Ledet also pulled off an unexpected rear-naked choke against Mark Godbeer, while the final performance bonus went to Abdul Razak Alhassan who took out Charlie Ward with a 53 second KO in the event’s opening bout.
UFC Fight Night 100:
As with the earlier event, officials opted to go for four ‘Performance Of The Night’ awards at UFC Fight Night 100 in Brazil.
Thomas Almeida earned a performance bonus for another impressive display of offensive striking, drilling Albert Morales with crisp combination striking against the cage, before finally sinking him with a body shot for the TKO victory.
Pedro Munhoz also earned a bonus for his second round guillotine submission against Justin Scoggins in the prelims.
Cezar Ferreira also racked up a nice submission win against Jack Hermansson by way of an arm-triangle.
Finally, Gadzhimurad Antigulov took just 67 seconds to tap out Marcos Rogerio de Lima with a guillotine choke.
