With his massive super-fight against UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos looming large, Conor McGregor paid a visit to Galway city on Saturday night and enjoyed some much deserved down time.
McGregor’s visit to the city was well-documented online, as pictures of the featherweight king posing with various fans began popping up on social media.

A video also emerged of the scenes in Eyre Square as “The Notorious” one’s Range Rover pulled away. The footage, which was filmed on a phone, showed a group of fans gathered around the vehicle chanting “There’s only one Conor McGregor”.
When the fighter himself emerged through the sunroof it inspired quite a reaction.
McGregor’s highly-anticipated bout with the teak-tough and talented Brazilian takes place at UFC 196 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. It is now just 13 days away.
The bout will be supported by a UFC women’s bantamweight title fight between Holly Holm and Miesha Tate.
