We’re just days away from Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather but there is another man that is getting his share of the spotlight – Paulie Malignaggi.
The former boxing world champion was recently McGregor’s sparring partner until clips of those sessions appeared on social media. These videos showed the American getting knocked down following claims that he had held his own against the UFC star.
"Its not nice 2 paint a pic that isn't true, this was a push down in sparring, post the whole video rounds 1 through 12 UNEDITED,” he tweeted after the images and videos went viral.

Then, in an interview with ESPN, he urged McGregor to release the full video to show “what really happened.”
"I wanted to be part of this event, but I didn't want to become the story and that's what this has turned into," he said.
"I won't release any information about his game plan or what he's working on, I wouldn't do that. But this has become a fiasco.
"It's a circus. And I do want that sparring video released. I understand it can't come out now, but Conor, if you have any balls, release what really happened.”
Earlier this week, they clashed at the ‘Grand Arrival’ in Las Vegas as Malignaggi repeatedly asked: “Did you bring your balls, Conor?”
Of course, the Irishman might be a little fearful that Malignaggi might give away all of his secrets despite claiming he “won’t release any information about his game plan.”
And you couldn’t blame McGregor for feeling a little bit apprehensive when images of Malignaggi’s latest behaviour appeared on social media.
