Let’s get one thing clear right now, The New York Athletic Commission is a bit nuts
They’re suspending guys left and right for reasons we’ve never seen. First it was Kelvin Gastelum’s six-month suspension for not showing to the UFC 205 weigh-ins. Then it was Thiago Alves, who received a three month suspension for missing weight.
Now it’s top UFC middleweight Yoel Romero. Romero has been suspended 60 days by New York for leaving the cage after his UFC 205 win over Chris Weidman and celebrating. Yes, you read that right. Romero was suspended 60-days for celebrating.
Yoel just got off suspension for a flagged PED test from USADA. UFC 205 marked his comeback from that stint.
